Ultrasonic assisted propolis extraction: characterization by ATR-FTIR and determination of its total antioxidant capacity and radical scavenging ability

In the current study, ultrasonic assisted ethanolic extract of propolis was discussed in detail, including their total phenolic content, antioxidant capacity and radical scavenging capacity. For this purpose, we determined by CUPRAC FRAP) assay. At same time, free extracts investigated via DPPH• CUPRAC- hydroxyl (HRS) methods. The chemical constituents were characterized ATR-FTIR. results revealed that is rich components (189 mg GAE /g extract). According to assay, calculated be 2.43 ± 0.07 mmol TE/g-propolis extract. FRAP value as 1.11 activity 0.71± 0.002 TE / g - On other hand, according method, HRS at different concentrations (5-10 μg/mL) 68.1% 77.64 %, respectively. Research findings showed has a strong potential. FTIR spectra functional groups originating from compounds expected.
